Historic Vehicle Restoration is based on the outskirts of London within minutes of the M25 & Heathrow airport and within earshot of the famous historic Brooklands motor racing circuit & museum.
We are passionate about all motor vehicles and the part they have played in the history & development of our road transport heritage.
Our role in the conservation & restoration of these machines is to pay tribute to the craftsmen who created them by keeping the traditional skills they used alive and maintaining their creations so that future generations may learn & appreciate the exhilaration felt by their present custodians.
The company is run by Seb Marshall who has spent his whole life encapsulated within the preservation movement. Being the son of the pioneering Prince Marshall, founder of “Old Motor” magazine (now classic & sports car) and numerous organisations; HCVS, The Transport Trust, The National Tramway Museum and The London Bus Preservation Group (now London Bus Museum) to name a few, it seemed inevitable he would follow his father’s footsteps. Seb served an apprenticeship in restoration at a well respected firm, spent time with a London classic car dealer and expanded his knowledge in the commercial field before becoming self employed.
Historic Vehicle Restoration has grown out of the demand for Seb’s talents and his ethos for genuine preservation. The Team are all like minded individuals, with similar backgrounds and the same overwhelming passion for delivering the highest quality, not only for the customer but also for the vehicle.
A strong company focus is the encouragement of passing skills from one generation to the next.
We can be found in a new 5000 sqft workshop in Byfleet, Surrey that is equipped to cater for restoration on the largest scale. Please take the time to have a look around at what we do and if you have any questions feel free to ask via any of our contacts.
